Our standards

Editorial policy

Trust is earned through careful sourcing, transparent commercial relationships and visible corrections.

Research and sourcing

We prioritise primary sources such as regulators, government departments, official statistics, company filings and providers’ published terms. Secondary reporting may help identify or contextualise a story, but material factual claims should be checked against an original source wherever practical.

Review before publication

Drafts may use automated research and writing assistance. Every article must be reviewed by a human before publication for accuracy, clarity, balance and relevance. Automation does not make publishing decisions.

Facts, analysis and uncertainty

We distinguish confirmed facts from analysis. Where outcomes remain uncertain, we say so. We do not present forecasts as facts, promise returns or manufacture urgency.

Corrections

Material corrections should be made promptly and noted on the article. Minor spelling and formatting changes may be made without a correction note. Readers can report concerns through our contact page.

Commercial independence

InvestPath may receive compensation when a reader follows an affiliate link or becomes a customer of a partner. That relationship does not determine our factual conclusions. Commercial links are identified, and our comparisons explain the basis on which products are assessed.

Scope

Our content is general information, not a personal recommendation. We do not know readers’ objectives, finances or tolerance for risk.
