Verified facts

The retailer kept its full-year adjusted profit expectations unchanged and broadly in line with FY2026. It says benefits from its plans are weighted towards the second half.

Store-enabled like-for-like sales declined 0.8%. This measure includes comparable stores' completed transactions, in-store tablet sales and Click & Collect orders; it is not simply a measure of footfall.

Apolifina analysis

The distinction between the half-year and full-year outlook matters more than a sales-growth headline alone. Investors will need evidence that the later improvement arrives. Higher revenue does not automatically mean higher profit.

Risk notice: The profit outlook is management's expectation, not a completed result. Consumer demand can change. Investments can lose value; no personal recommendation is made.
